Latest findings from @ICCPR_GlobalCR’s #GlobalCardiacRehabAudit Update on hybrid/alternative #cardiacrehab models:

💲 Reimbursement: 23% globally; 6 (18%) in Ireland

🏠 Offered: 31% of programs globally; 8 (24%) in Ireland

🌍 Available in 57 countries (50% of countries with CR), leveraging apps, texting, calls and the web. No increase in availability since ICCPR’s 2016 Audit.

👟 Median program dose/patient: low at 10 sessions globally; 10 in Ireland

💲After clinical criteria, choice, distance and work, 30% of patients were allocated to model based on cost; 0% in Ireland.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 While hybrid models were delivered by multidisciplinary teams, fewer patients were served, and comprehensiveness was often lower than centre-based CR.

📉 Financial, staffing, and digital barriers appear to constrain scale-up, with notable disparities by country income classification.
